Product description
Taninal 500 mg is an over-the-counter medicinal product traditionally used to treat diarrhea and food poisoning. The active substance of the preparation- tannin proteinate is a combination of tannin, i.e. tannins, and albumin, i.e. protein. The preparation releases tannins with some delay - only in the small intestine, which avoids a strong irritating effect on the gastric mucosa. The released tannin has an astringent effect and limits the growth and multiplication of bacteria. It also prevents diarrhea by creating difficult-to-dissolve complexes with bacterial toxins. In addition, it inhibits minor bleeding accompanying damage to the capillaries of the intestinal mucosa. Taninal is a traditionally used preparation, the effectiveness of which is based only on long-term use and experience.
