Indications:
Pluscard is a preparation indicated for use in the prevention of myocardial infarction and the prevention of thromboembolic complications following myocardial infarction, stroke, coronary artery procedures or angina pectoris. Intended for adults and adolescents over 16 years of age.
Properties:
Pluscard is a preparation that contains the active substances acetylsalicylic acid (100 mg per tablet) and glycine (40 mg per tablet). Acetylsalicylic acid works by blocking the action of an enzyme called cyclooxygenase. Cyclooxygenase is responsible, among other things, for the production by platelets of thromboxane A2, a substance that causes platelet aggregation ("sticking"). Clinical trials show that low doses of acetylsalicylic acid (50-325 mg) are effective in inhibiting platelet aggregation, playing an important role in inhibiting the formation of blood clots in the blood vessels. Glycine, on the other hand, is an ingredient that increases the solubility of acetylsalicylic acid. By facilitating its absorption, it has a protective effect and at the same time counteracts the irritating effect on the gastric mucosa. Pluscard can be used in emergency as well as prophylactic long-term treatment.
Composition:
Active substances: acetylsalicylic acid and glycine.
Other auxiliary substances: potato starch, talc.
One tablet contains 100 mg of acetylsalicylic acid and 40 mg of glycine.
