Levomin 30 tablets are indicated for oral contraception.
Compound
Active ingredients: ethinylestradiol, levonorgestrel;
1 coated tablet contains ethinylestradiol 0.03 mg, levonorgestrel 0.15 mg;
Excipients: lactose, corn starch, maltodextrin, sodium starch glycolate (type A), magnesium stearate, yellow film coating mixture (hypromellose 6 cP, titanium dioxide, macrogol 400, iron oxide yellow E 172, quinoline yellow E 104).
Contraindications
Combined oral contraceptives (COCs) should not be used in the presence of at least one of the conditions or diseases listed below. If any of these conditions or diseases occurs for the first time during the use of COCs, the preparation should be stopped immediately.
Venous thromboembolism (VTE).
Arterial thromboembolism (ATE).
Mode of application
For oral use.
Tablets should be taken daily according to the order indicated on the package, at about the same time, with a small amount of liquid if necessary. The preparation is taken 1 tablet per day for 21 days in a row. Taking tablets from each subsequent package should be started after a 7-day break in taking the tablets, during which menstrual bleeding usually occurs. As a rule, it begins on the 2-3rd day after taking the last pill and may not end before the start of taking the pill from the next package.

Overdose
There are no reports of serious side effects from overdose. The symptoms that an overdose causes include nausea, vomiting, and in young girls, minor bleeding from the vagina.
Treatment. There are no antidotes, treatment is symptomatic.
Side effects
Among the most common adverse reactions when using ethinylestradiol / levonorgestrel are headache, spotting, intermenstrual bleeding.
Interaction
Interactions can occur with preparations that induce microsomal enzymes. This may lead to increased clearance of sex hormones, reduced contraceptive efficacy and/or breakthrough bleeding.
When treated with any of these preparations, the woman should temporarily use a barrier method in addition to taking COCs or another method of contraception. When treating with preparations that induce microsomal enzymes, the barrier method should be used during the entire period of treatment with the corresponding preparation and for a further 28 days after stopping its use. If the use of such a medicinal product is continued, and the tablets in the MDA blister pack have run out, the use of the tablets from the next MDA blister should be started immediately, without the usual interval without taking tablets.
Decreased absorption: Preparations that accelerate peristalsis (eg, metoclopramide) may decrease hormone absorption.
