Pharmacological properties
Ambroxol-Teva oral solution is used for secretolytic therapy for acute and chronic broncho-pulmonary diseases associated with impaired bronchial secretion and weakening of mucus movement.
Structure
Active ingredient: ambroxol hydrochloride.
1 ml of ambroxol hydrochloride - 7.5 mg;
Excipients: potassium sorbate (E 202), diluted hydrochloric acid (25%), purified water.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to ambroxol and / or other components of the preparation.
Mode of application
Take orally after meals. Dispense the preparation using a dosing cup. Take the drops after meals, dissolved in a liquid (for example, water, tea or juice).
The mucolytic effect of Ambroxol is enhanced by the use of large amounts of liquid.
The duration of treatment depends on the characteristics of the course of the disease.
Ambroxol-Teva solution should not be used for more than 4-5 days without consulting a doctor.
In case of impaired renal function and severe liver disease, the preparation can be taken only under the supervision of a doctor. In this case, it is recommended to reduce the dose and increase the time between doses of the preparation.
In acute illnesses, you should consult a doctor if symptoms persist and / or worsen despite taking Ambroxol-Teva.

Overdose

Side effects
Skin rash, urticaria, angioedema, pruritus, anaphylactic reactions (including anaphylactic shock), other hypersensitivity reactions, dysgeusia (taste disorder), nausea, decreased sensitivity in the mouth, vomiting, diarrhea, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, dry mouth, drooling, dry throat, decreased sensitivity in the pharynx, shortness of breath (as a symptom of a hypersensitivity reaction).
Interaction
The simultaneous use of the preparation and cough suppressants can lead to excessive accumulation of mucus due to inhibition of the cough reflex, therefore such a combination is possible only after a doctor's careful assessment of the ratio of the expected benefit and the possible risk of use.
